The Edward Smith Mineola Lions Club recently donated $4000 to the Long Island Bombers, a “Beep Baseball” team for the blind and visually impaired. The team plays competitive and exhibition games against other visually impaired teams in the metropolitan area.

A major focus of the Lions organization is to assist those with visual impairments, and the Mineola Club is a regular donator to the Guide Dog Foundation, Sight and Sound Foundation, and other organizations.
