The Edward Smith Mineola Lions Club has had a long, proud history of raising and donating hundreds of thousands of dollars over our 73 years of existence.
Lately, our donations have been just shy of $100,000 annually. That fundraising success allows us to support many charities, organizations and individuals in need here on Long Island.
Some of those beneficiaries are:
• The AHRC Foundation Brookville NY
• Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Long island
• The Guide Dog Foundation, Smithtown, NY
• Long Island Bombers -Blind Soft Ball team
• Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corp
• Mineola Auxiliary Police Department
• Mineola High School Annual Student Scholarships
• Special Olympics Long Island
• Thanksgiving Holiday food donations, which last November,
totaled just under $14,000, making it a record year.
• Plus, many other local donations to those in need or to those
who help the needy for whatever reason.
We would not be able to do what we do without your generous support. The Golf Outing is our major fundraiser, so please consider joining us to play golf, either as an individual or by putting together a foursome.
If you are not a golfer, there are so many support options to choose from (i.e., various sponsorships, tee signs, hole flags, dinner only reservations where you can purchase raffle tickets for amazing prizes or try your luck at our 50/50 raffle.)
