Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! As we head into the holiday season, we’re excited to share a few ways the Mineola Lions Club has been giving back to our community this month.
We’re proud to share that earlier in November, we donated 150 Thanksgiving turkeys to the Mary Brennan INN. This amazing organization provides food and essential resources to anyone in need, and they were incredibly grateful for the support. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help make the delivery possible.
We also continued a tradition that means a lot to our club: St. Agnes Cathedral received 10 turkeys for their food pantry, donated in memory of our Lion brother John Broder. The church was very appreciative, and we’re honored to keep John’s legacy going, one year at a time.
In addition, we made a monetary contribution to the St. John’s Church Coat Drive. The organizers expressed their gratitude, and we’re glad to support an effort that will help keep local families warm this winter.
This week, our club also purchased full Thanksgiving dinners for 14 families, complete with all the trimmings to make their holiday special. Along with that, we provided King Kullen gift cards to help even more neighbors in need. 12 families from Big Brothers Big Sisters, 2 families from the Roslyn schools, and 12 additional individuals, including active-duty military members and other local families.
We had a fantastic experience at the King Kullen in Garden City Park, where their team was incredibly accommodating to our large crew of 30 members and guests who came out to participate.
We’re grateful to make a positive impact in our community this holiday season — and we look forward to continuing our service in the weeks ahead.
Have a happy and healthy Thanskgiving holiday!
