Mineola Lions donate $1000 to Helen Keller Servcies for the Blind

The Edward Smith Mineola Lions Club recently donated $1000 to the Helen Keller Services for the Blind (HKSB). HKSB offers a wide range of services and programs for people of all ages who are blind or have vision impairments. Thousands of people in the New York metropolitan area and in Nassau and Suffolk Counties take advantage of these services every year.

A major focus of the Lions organization is to assist those with visual impairments, and the Mineola Club is a regular donator to HKSB as well as the Guide Dog Foundation, Sight and Sound Foundation, and other organizations.

The Mineola Lions has scheduled one of its two major fund-raisers – the annual Taste of the Grape wine tasting on Thursday, May 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the beautiful North Hempstead Country Club. For information please visit mineolalionsclub.org/
